The Wise Adviser: Tapping into Cultural Collectivism (SI)
U.S. approaches to advising tend to be based on
individualism: individual achievement, responsibility, and action.
Much of the rest of the world uses a collective worldview,
sharing accomplishments, information, and survival strategies.
Participants explore the strengths and limits of each worldview,
impacts on the work, and approaches to greater inclusivity.

To Terminate or Not? That Is the SEVIS Question (ISSS)

attendance, absences from the United States, moving toward
adjustment of status, change of status, and more. This session
was selected as the NAFSA Region III conference highlight.

NAFSA Supports Diverse Interests
Across International Education
NAFSA invites you to join one of more than thirty Member Interest Groups (MIGs). We welcome both NAFSA members and non-members to
join and connect to a network of colleagues who share a variety of unique interests. MIGs foster information sharing and interest-specific
resources. Each group is founded and led by members, with the mission to support and represent NAFSA's diversity and inclusion efforts.
