National PTA President Jan Harp-Domene, who served as an honorary Grand Marshal of the Petiot Parade at the 2008 NAMM Show, is a champion for music and arts education nationwide. “Being an active musician some 40 years later, I owe my lifetime of satisfaction and joy from music making to my beginning experience in 5th grade at the public school I attended,” says Bill Carpenter, president of Hamilton Stands. “For many like me, receiving music education through our schools is a life-changing and life-defining opportunity that I wish to be available to as many students as possible. For this reason, I continue to support music education. I am pleased that Hamilton Stands was able to contribute to the experience of the Morgan Park High School Jazz Ensemble as they performed at the National PTA Gala.” SupportMusic Coalition Hosts Teleconference at the NAMM Show LIVE TOWN HALL DISCUSSES CURRENT ISSUES FOR MUSIC AND ARTS EDUCATION SupportMusic Coalition affiliates attending the NAMM Show will gather on January 15 for a live town hall teleconference on the future of music and arts education.
