Don Schmidgall will serve as product vice president for the Utility Division, which serves pipe and manhole markets. Schmidgall is responsible for overall strategy and business development. Fred Schultz was appointed as product vice president for the Architectural and Structural Divisions of CTW. He is responsible for the overall strategy, business development and sales of the diverse offerings of nonpipe and manhole precast equipment. This includes machinery for panels, veneer stone and decorative wet-cast automation, hollow core equipment, block and paver automation technologies, and other types of precast technological enhancements. Responsibilities for pipe and manhole equipment sales will lie with the two vice presidents covering the Utility Division’s worldwide organization. Darrell Haar was named vice president of sales for North and South America and will be based out of Mediapolis, Iowa. Jørn Hoffmann, based out of Brønderslev, Denmark, will cover Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania. Michael Shank was appointed as director of marketing and is responsible for all of the marketing efforts of Hawkeye-Pedershaab and other operations under CTW. Shank’s duties will cover promotion, corporate communication, brand awareness and product training. Bent Holme, former managing director for Pedershaab, has announced his retirement but will remain in a part-time capacity to aid with special projects and transition. Hanson Pressure Pipe has significant role in Mexico power plant Hanson Pressure Pipe, based in Grand Prairie, Texas, is providing the cooling water pipe system for Mexico’s first supercritical-pressure coal-fired power plant. The project was initiated by the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE), based in Mexico City.
