The Fill-O-Matic system was developed to meet the need for a safer way of filling precast molds quickly and accurately with as little labor as possible. The standard conveyor version transfers the mold to the filling position, where a sensor sees the mold and immediately augers the precise amount of material into the mold. When the target is met, the finished mold transfers to the vibration area (a lifting table or vibratory conveyor), and then an empty mold repeats the process. The standard tabletop version, which is simpler and requires an attendant to place and stack the molds, greatly speeds production. A.P.E. is also the first equipment company to integrate an RFID mold identification system into its equipment, says the company. A chip or tag is placed in or on the mold and is read by an RFID antenna. Once the mold is read, the value is stored in the Fill-O-Matic system and becomes the next target weight.
