Construction Co. In constructing the tunnel, the city paved the way for a future bike path that will link the University of Minnesota to downtown Minneapolis. It will connect with Bridge 9, a bicycle and pedestrian bridge on the school’s campus, and then weave its way underneath the I-35W bridge into downtown.
