Super Bowl XLII Event Guide - (Page 60) GAME-DAY INFORMATION SCREENING PROCEDuRES For Spectators SuPER BOWL XLII Security screening at University of Phoenix Stadium will be significantly heightened for Super Bowl XLII. All items will be carefully inspected, and many usually permitted in NFL events will not be allowed into the Super Bowl. items Prohibited in stadium The following list is a guide only. It is not intended to be all-inclusive: • Weapons, Knives and Explosives • Containers of any type: • Fireworks - Coolers (of any size) • Camcorders - Bottles • Laser Lights and Pointers • Cans, Hairspray • Strollers - Camera and Binocular Cases/Tripods • Inflatables (Beach Balls, etc.) - Mace / Pepper Spray • Throwing Objects (Footballs, etc.) • Large Bags including: - Backpacks • Poles or Sticks • Banners - Duffel and Grocery Bags • Animals (Except Service Animals) - Luggage • Noisemakers and Horns • Umbrellas • Food and Beverages • Laptop Computers additional information Size Requirements – All permissible items must measure no more than 12” x 12” x 12”. Cameras and Binoculars – Small cameras and binoculars will be allowed, however camera and binocular cases of any size are prohibited. No spectator cameras with lenses longer than six inches (6”) will be permitted. Again, camcorders will be prohibited. Electronic devices – Spectators are urged to avoid bringing electronic devices. They will be thoroughly inspected, causing delays for all patrons. Electronic devices include, but are not limited to, cellular telephones, pagers, miniature televisions and radios, and personal digital assistants (PDA’s). Prohibited items and items determined not to be appropriate for entry into the stadium will be the spectator’s responsibility and cannot be accepted or held by the NFL, University of Phoenix Stadium or the Glendale Police Department. Patrons are urged to secure these items in vehicles or hotel rooms. The cooperation, patience and understanding of all patrons are greatly appreciated.
