Georgia County Government - January 2009 - (Page 32) EMPLOYEE HEALTH continued from page 31 of their future health status and hopefully prevent catastrophic medical events. Both Worksite Wellness and Disease Management programs have evolved into more comprehensive, integrated and interactive attempts to improve lifestyle habits, health status and longevity. Recognizing this, the ACCG and BCBSGa are partnering to bring expanded disease management coupled with Wellness Programs to member counties. Through Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS), ACCG supports work-site wellness programs and provides ACCG Group Health Benefits Program members with Wellness Incentive Grants, paper-based Health Risk Appraisals (HRAs) and self-Care Health Guide books at no additional cost. ACCG is in the process of implementing a process for subsidizing on-line and paper HRAs for county employees through the BCBS 360° Health program. This important change means employee’s valuable self-reported health status Health Risk Appraisal data will be integrated into the entire 360° Health Program – making the Disease Management programs more successful in helping employees be as healthy as possible! Through Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS), ACCG offers Health Promotion Services and Wellness Programs that provide health and productivity services to employees and family members of ACCGBCBSGa Health Insurance Program member counties. ■ Link to ACCG/LGRMS Health Promotion Services: http://www.lgrms.com/ HPWW/ For information on how to begin or expand a wellness program for your county contact Sherea Robinson, Wellness Programs Coordinator at 800-650-3120.
