Officials claim that in Ware County – at 906 square miles, the largest county east of the Mississippi River – developers are currently attracted to building in more remote areas, to leverage available land for attractive, larger lot sizes. In Coffee County, the state’s third largest county by area, the trend is similar. Facing the same challenges, most of the counties in the Southeast Georgia RDC are approaching building code implementation, with the RDC’s assistance, in a uniform and consistent manner. Whatever growth ensues in Southeast Georgia, however, one can be sure the influx will reflect well on the sound progress toward economic vitality made by the region’s exceptional leaders, underscored by a quality of life that exudes permanence and continuity – the antithesis of the crowded communities people are leaving for the simpler life to be found here. Because the leaders in Southeast Georgia don’t take that life for granted, and continue to work to bring diverse business and industry here that will support communities in their goals, a high quality of life is certain to be here for generations to come, with jobs and prosperity for all. ■ Congratulations! 109 Westgreen Hwy.
