He was elected to a third six-year term in November 2004. Baker grew up in DeKalb County and attended DeKalb County public schools. He went on to graduate from Oglethorpe University with honors and receive his law degree from the University of Georgia. Baker and his wife, the former Joselyn Butler, were married in 2001. He owned and operated an insurance business in Cobb County for 20 years. Wise was awarded his B.S. in Business Management from the Charleston Southern University in 1974. He and his wife, Denise, have two grown children. He was fi rst elected to public office as a Cobb County commissioner in 1990 and had previously served that county as a member of the Cobb County Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. Wise was a Board Member of the 10-county Atlanta Regional Commission from 199294. Commissioner Wise is a past president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) 2003-04. Chuck Eaton Chuck Eaton was elected to his first term on the Public Service Commission in December of 2006. He was one of only two statewide Republican candidates in the entire country to beat an incumbent during that election year. He served as chairman in 2008. Before serving on the Commission, he worked in real estate sales. He is a graduate of the Coverdell Leadership Institute – a statewide organization founded by late U.S. Sen. Paul D. Coverdell to strengthen leadership and political skills. Commissioner Eaton lives in Atlanta with his wife, Erika, and their daughter, Lydia.
