Concerning the metro region, Olens expresses confidence in the “mature leaders that have made decisions based on the betterment of the region, rather than any single area within it.” He adds that the region must look for more ways to mitigate the “anti-Atlanta” tension, but concedes that inroads have been made with numerous leaders within the General Assembly. “Promoting a strong state is in all citizens’ best interest,” he observes.
