Georgia County Government - September 2008 - (Page 35) Feature Spotlight on Georgia Technology Authority Media Productions RELY ON WINDSTREAM… For Your Home Amy Cooper, associate producer, and Steve Carey, executive producer, lead GTA Media Productions. ssociat ion C ou nt y C ommissioners of Georgia (ACCG) works hard to develop and produce DVDs for member counties on topics and issues important to local governments that can be shared throughout Georgia’s communities. ACCG accomplishes this mission through a partnership with the Georgia Technology Authority’s Media Productions division. This partnership has produced educational DVDs covering topics such as air quality, methamphetamine, and pandemic flu. Ross King, ACCG deputy director, points out that “ACCG is proud of the invaluable relationship we have established with the tremendous and talented multimedia team that Steve Carey has established at GTA. We live in a very visual world today that requires ACCG to provide substantive information in a DVD format that is clear, concise and of direct assistance to our statewide membership. We have been very pleased with A the response we have received from the DVDs produced on our behalf by GTA. We have plans in place for many more multimedia projects with Steve and his staff in the years to come.” GTA’s Media Productions provides a wide range of multimedia services to state agencies and local governments. These include video, digital photography, print design, duplication and distribution, as well as media buys, E-Learning and interactive, Webbased training. The production unit was started in 1994 by Steve Carey, as a one-man unit with the Department of Administrative Services. Amy Cooper joined the unit one year later as the fi rst member of this production team. From there, it has grown to a five-member team working with more than 30 state agencies, including the Governor’s Office.
