Centerlines - March 2009 - (Page 11) O N T H E H IL L A N D O N T H E S T U M P Testifying, Taking Home Awards and Celebrating 2009 ACI-NA Chairman John Clark III testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee encouraging Congress to include in the economic stimulus plan funds for shovel-ready airport capital improvement projects. ACI-NA President Greg Principato testified before the House Aviation Subcommittee on Feb. 11 outlining what airports would like included in the next Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill. Boston Logan International Airport’s Terminal A won the Richard A. Griesbach Award of Excellence in the 2008 Airport Concessions Contest. Celebrating their achievement at the awards luncheon in Toronto were Leah Teeven, Logan’s concessions business manager, and Sal Amico, the manager of airport concessions. Susan Bush is just the second recipient ACI-NA’s Concessions Person of the Year. Bush, the senior manager of concessions program for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, holds the five awards that her team won. Nearly 250 industry professionals joined ACI-NA to ring in the holiday season at the annual Holiday Party held in conjunction with the International Aviation Issues Seminar.
