Welcome to Boston! D E A R AV I A T I O N C O L L E A G U E , All of us at Boston Logan International Airport look forward to welcoming you and our colleagues from around the world to one of America’s oldest and most historic cities as we gather for the ACI/North America Conference & Exhibition at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center. Not since 2001 have ACI World and ACI-NA teamed together at a single venue. The upcoming world conference promises to be an event to remember. ACI World and ACI-North America have organized an exciting program of educational seminars and plenary sessions that is sure to provoke lively discussions among the thousands of airport executives, government officials, and business partners traveling to Boston from as many as 175 countries. We will have the opportunity to share experiences and insights on the critical issues shaping our industry today. We trust you will enjoy the program as well as the exciting trade show that organizers are preparing. All of us in Boston hope that while you are with us you have an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city that launched the American Revolution, where history comes to life along the Freedom Trail with landmarks such as the Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, Bunker Hill, the USS Constitution, Paul Revere’s house, and much, much more. In Boston you will also discover a city of neighborhoods, including the fashionable Back Bay with its world-class shopping, and the new and vibrant waterfront district in South Boston which boasts a thriving cruise business. During your visit to Boston, my staff and I will be 390895_Infax.indd pleased to show you how Massport and our airline partners transformed a 1,700-acre airport into a modern international gateway with more customer amenities than ever before. We also look forward to showcasing those projects that have earned Logan national acclaim in airport safety, security, environmental responsiveness and ease of access for our customers. Boston Logan International Airport is proud to be your host, and on behalf of all of us at Massport we look forward to seeing you in September! ■ T HOM A S J. K I N T O N, J R .
