(Photo by Jeffrey Becker.) The Marketing and Communications Committee celebrated its 40th anniversary at the 2008 conference, held this year in Pittsburgh in June. As part of the festivities, the Committee created a new award, the Ted Bushelman Legacy Award for Creativity and Excellence, to be presented annually to an individual to recognize the values, accomplishments and creativity of airport marketing and communications professionals. Bushelman, a founder of the committee and the senior communications advisor at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, was surprised when presented with the first Bushelman award.
