Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future will offer a new and wide-ranging look at the entire scope of Saarinen’s life and career, with exhibition highlights including never-before-seen sketches, models, photographs, furnishings and more. The exhibition will travel to the following locations from 2007 through 2010: Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Nov. 7, 2007 – Mar. 30, 2008); National Building Museum, Washington, D.C. (May 3 – Aug. 23, 2008); The Minneapolis Institute of Art and Walker Arts Center (Sept. 14, 2008 – Jan. 4, 2009); Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum at Washington University in St. Louis (Jan. 30 – Apr. 27, 2009); Museum of the City of New York (Fall 2009); Yale University Art Gallery and Yale University School of Architecture, New Haven, Conn. Design Life Now: National Design Triennial will be at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Sept. 28, 2007 – Jan. 6, 2008; and at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, Jan. 26 – Apr. 20, 2008. Another Cooper-Hewitt exhibition, Feeding Desire: Design and Tools of the Table, 1500-2005, will be at the Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library in Winterthur, Del., Nov. 1, 2008 – Feb. 15, 2009.
