No independent practice time will be accepted. The supervised experience requirement applies only to those exam candidates that begin their work experience on or after Jan. 1, 2008. Candidates that begin their work experience before that date are not required to meet the supervised experience requirement. All exam candidates who participate in the NCIDQ Interior Design Experience Program (IDEP) automatically satisfy the supervised experience requirement. The amount of experience required and when candidates may begin counting their experience hours toward the exam requirements is determined by the type of interior design education the candidate is completing.
