Red Sidell passed away December 31, 2010. Red was previously diagnosed in June with stage-four lung cancer (although he hadn’t smoked in 40 years), and he was given less than six months to live. Red was the owner of beautyschool.com, and Gloria worked full time in the beauty school that they owned in Hanover Park, Illinois. Red touched so many people and he never wanted attention or recognition. “I spent 16 years of my life working by his side; if I spent 50 years in college I would never have learned what I did from Red,” said Valerie Dick, Empire Beauty Schools executive director, who worked very close with Sidell over the years.

She asked that if anyone is inclined to do so, they could make a contribution to the AACS GRC in his memory.
