AACS ANNUAL CONVENTION & EXPO 2012
ake plans to attend the AACS Annual Convention & Expo October 26–30, 2012, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida. New this year we will be introducing shorter, fastpaced sessions to help you get the most out of your convention investment. Register by September 21 to receive the Early Bird Member rate of $325 ($300 each for four or more registrants). This extensive program includes three and a half days of quality training, social events, meals, networking with beauty school owners, managers and admissions staff from across the country, and the opportunity to visit over 190 exhibit booths representing the latest products and services for your school. Also new for this year we will be categorizing sessions to help you make the best informed decisions on whom to send to the convention and what sessions will meet your needs. Categories include: Admissions, Marketing, Retention, Regulatory, Technology, Culture/Leadership and New Programs/Other. In the heart of the Walt Disney World® Resort, the award-winning Walt Disney World Dolphin is your gateway to Central Florida’s greatest theme parks and attractions as well as the host for the AACS Annual Convention and Expo. Besides being just a short distance away from the theme parks, the Epcot resorts hotel is also home to a number of fun recreational activities. From pristine pools and beaches, to the kids-only Camp Dolphin, they make sure the young guests are kept entertained even after they return from a day at the park. The Walt Disney World Dolphin is also located near many activities that parents can enjoy such as spending a relaxing afternoon at the Mandara Spa, or playing a round of golf on any one of the four championship Walt Disney World® golf courses. Discounted Disney tickets are available for convention guests and this weekend is the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival, so we encourage you to plan to come in early or stay a few extra days to make it a fun experience for the whole family. We will once again be hosting a silent auction, as well as the Texas Hold’em and Wii Bowling tournaments to benefit AACS Government Relations activities. While Gainful Employment issues have some reprieve, there is still a lot of work to do and we depend on the support of our members to provide our team with the resources they need to help you. The tournament will be held on Sunday evening, so please make plans now to participate.
