highlightsandhappenings The Young Contractors Forum Summer Meeting The Young Contractors Forum Summer Meeting was on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Eli’s on Whitney in Hamden. The event was well attended by a young crowd of construction professionals as Turner Construction featured a presentation on Kroon Hall, Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Engineering. Gilbane Construction sent a formidable group of young professionals! Turner Construction, an event sponsor, was represented by their project team, who were on hand for the feature presentation. Associated General Contractors of Connecticut Annual Golf Outing The Associated General Contractors of Connecticut Annual Golf Outing was enjoyed by 120 golfers on July 5 at Wethersfield Country Club. Under bright blue skies, golfers took to the course for a shot-gun start tournament followed by a reception, dinner, and awards ceremony. Thanks to the many sponsors, particularly event sponsor Marcum LLP, for their generosity and support! Connecticut Laborers District Council foursome, the overall tournament winners with lowest score, included, left to right: Tom Worth, Mike Spare, Charlie LeConche, and Mike Lawton.
