CONNstruction - Fall 2011 - (Page 31)

CTASLA/CCPC Pervious Concrete Workshop The SUBWAY® restaurant chain headquarters in Connecticut recently completed its 90,000-square-foot pervious parking lot with the help of NRMCA member Beard Concrete. Given the unique opportunity to showcase the largest pervious placement in the Northeast, Jim Langlois, executive director of the Connecticut Concrete Promotion Council, teamed up with his frequent partner Doug O’Neill, NRMCA and SUBWAY on June 29, 2011, to conduct a half-day concrete seminar capped off with an opportunity to view existing pervious that was constructed last year, along with fresh pervious concrete actually being placed.
