New President for Barton Malow In December 2009, Barton Malow Company announced the promotion of Lester Snyder, III, from chief operating officer to president. In addition, three vice presidents were promoted to senior vice president: Sheryl Maibach, FSMPS; Douglas Maibach, P.E. and Geoffrey Murken. Green Joins B&V Bentley Green, P.E., has joined Black & Veatch’s global water business as a client accounts project director, based in the company’s St. Louis office. Investigating Water Reuse Black & Veatch is investigating advanced technologies that would provide sustainable options, including the possibility of water reuse, for two new wastewater treatment plants in China. Williams Under Construction Engineering Facility Groundbreaking On March 5, Opus North Corp. broke ground on a new engineering facility for Marquette University. New Project in Puerto Rico On February 2, The Korte Company attended a groundbreaking ceremony for Fort Allen, one of four joint Armed Forces Reserve Centers in Puerto Rico. SMF Tops Out Sacramento International Airport celebrated topping out its airside concourse in December 2009 and its landside terminal in late January. The new Central Terminal B and Airside Concourse, designed by Fentress Architects in association with Corgan Associates Inc., is known as The Big Build. 18 / / May 2010
