SH: At a ﬁve-year strategic board meeting in 2006, Paciﬁc Life’s board gave ACG the authorization to grow, at a net addition after aircraft sales, at 20 units per year for the next ﬁve years, which is another 100 aircraft. Today, if you were to look at our order book and the future deliveries, we are approaching close to 320 aircraft over a little slightly longer period of time. J: Does ACG have plans for more acquisitions? 8:42:17 AM SH: Boullioun really took us from being a mid-sized leasing company to a very large leasing company in terms of scale, scope and global reach. From that acquisition we became much more efﬁcient and were able to address in a more aggressive fashion our capital costs and ﬁ nancing mix. I have been asked many times if ACG would look at acquiring another company. I think we will always look at it, but we will be more reticent to do it this time because it will be harder for us to extract the same kind of strategic beneﬁts that we did with Boullioun. J: How so? SH: When you acquire a company you always run the risk of introducing a different investment philosophy and a different culture. Boullioun was unique in the sense that it was very similar to ACG, so it ﬁt very nicely. In addition, there aren’t many companies out there that would have those same operational beneﬁts to us. So it’s not likely ACG would acquire a company over the next ﬁve years.
