Ascent Aviation signs contract with Aloha Air Cargo
Ascent Aviation Services Corp. (Tucson, Ariz.) signed a contract for an undisclosed value with Aloha Air Cargo (Honolulu, Hawaii) for heavy maintenance and additional work on two B737-200C aircraft. “Ascent is pleased to continue its long-standing relationship with Aloha Air Cargo for Aircraft Maintenance Services,” said R. Rick Townsend, SVP, sales & business development. Ascent is a premiere narrow body maintenance, modiﬁcation, refurbishment and storage facility located at Tucson International Airport. Ascent provides high quality, cost efﬁcient, 24/7 support with competitive turn times and is FAA/EASA certiﬁcated.

ATRAN Air Cargo to Operate First B737-400SF in Russia
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has been selected by Aviation Capital Group (ACG) to provide one B737-400SF 11 Pallet Conﬁguration Freighter Conversion. Following conversion ATRAN Cargo Airlines based in Moscow, an airline of the Volga Dnepr Group will operate the freighter. The aircraft is a high gross weight B737-400 (MSN 28663) built in 1997 and is currently undergoing freighter modiﬁcation at AEI’s Authorized Conversion Center, Flightstar Aircraft Services in Jacksonville, Fla. Robert T. Convey, vice president of sales & marketing, stated that, “We have seen a dramatic worldwide increase in demand for our industry leading B737- 400SF 11 Pallet Conversion. With the ability to carry 10 AAA full height containers, one more than the competition, the AEI design appears to be the market’s preferred 737-400SF conversion.”

ILFC’S Aeroturbine Group Opens Logistics Centers
AeroTurbine Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), recently announced the opening of new logistics centers in Dubai, London, Los Angeles and Singapore. The centers provide 24/7/365 support for OEMs needing logistic support from 3PL services up to and including full global distribution services. The centers are directly connected to AeroTurbine’s primary distribution center in Florida, and all the new locations are using Compass, AeroTurbine’s proprietary web portal, for real-time management of customer orders and repair order management. Michael King, president and CEO, AeroTurbine, commented, “As airlines require access to more pooled inventory, many OEMs are looking for integrated solutions beyond traditional warehousing. Providing valuebased solutions that leverage our global sales staff, repair management and logistics network are the critical product and service offerings we are focused on delivering to the marketplace.
