ISTAT Board of Directors – Call for Nominations
The Nominations Committee is accepting nominations for positions that will become open on the ISTAT Board of Directors in March 2011. Nominees must be ISTAT members in good standing and must have been a member for at least the past two years. Nominees will be presented to the ISTAT membership via e-mail in February 2011 and will be voted upon at the ISTAT 28th Annual Conference on 13-15 March 2010 at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz. Four of the nominees will be elected to the board to serve as directors from March 2011 until March 2015. Biographical sketches of the nominees should be submitted to the ISTAT ofﬁce along with your letter of intent to run for a director position. ISTAT Appraisers in Everett
Many of the world’s transport aircraft appraisers came together at Boeing’s appraisers forum in late September, with ISTAT well represented at the annual event. Here, the group tours the cavernous interior of a new 747-8 freighter during an assembly line tour at the company’s Everett, Wash., wide-body factory. It was one of numerous stops on the two-day program hosted by incoming ISTAT President Joe Ozimek. Attendees included current ISTAT president John Vitale, board members Fred Klein and Doug Runte and a host of ISTAT senior and certiﬁed appraisers. The appraisers heard from senior Boeing leaders on the state of the company’s key airplane programs and had their tough questions addressed during an executive questionand-answer session.
