This theme is being carried through to the trade show floor and each of the five Solution Centers. Each center will provide a myriad of offerings, demonstrations and case studies by industry experts focused on a particular area of golf course, facility or club management. You’ll walk away with tips and techniques for best practices as well as handouts and resources to take home and apply at your facility. The Clubhouse Solutions Center is designed to help attendees maximize their trade show experience by providing one-stop shopping to identify and locate products, services and companies. Attendees will find quick answers to real problems through a live networking discussion forum. Questions will be drawn from current business challenges pertaining to those units found under the clubhouse roof. CMAA Member Central will be housed in this solution center. CMAA staff will be available during show hours to answer association questions, disburse information and literature, and assist with show floor navigation. As the “town center” on the trade show floor, the Team Solutions Center will use a unique approach to demonstrate the importance of teamwork in facility success. The Team Solutions Center will feature TrackTime Driving Schools’ Pit Crew Challenge. Activities will revolve around teams of three to five attendees who will have to beat the clock and their own best time in a simulated pit crew experience. The Golf Course Solutions Center will once again feature a special construction project on the trade show floor. The Golf Course Builders Association, the American Society of Golf Course Architects, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Irrigation Association will join together to construct tee boxes. Plan to stop by often as both new tee box construction and tee box renovation will take place during the course of the show. The activities will highlight teamwork as well as address topics and issues important to golf course superintendents, owners/operators, general managers/chief operating officers, architects and builders. Complementing the tee box construction project will be presentations by some of the marquee names in the golf industry who will offer solutions to successful tee box maintenance, design, drainage and more. The Range & Outdoor Facility Solutions Center will feature an indoor golf studio complete with practice cages, fitting stations and tee boxes, simulators, a putting green and a stage equipped with cameras to analyze individual golf swings. On-cart GPS and other outdoor facility technologies also will be showcased in this Solution Center. The Environmental Solutions Center will demonstrate how golf facilities provide environmental benefits to the community. “On the course” education will be presented in conjunction with highlights from GCSAA’s Golf Course Environmental Profi le surveys, research, EDGE resources and other information. Visit this solution center to learn more about what you can do to develop education programs, respond to environmental questions and enhance your outreach and communication efforts. In addition, join your peers during scheduled presentations for a cup of coffee and to get more detailed information from those who have implemented successful environmental projects at their home club or facility.
