This year’s live auction will have delectable delights, dancing and a wonderful selection of items on which you may bid. The chefs of the American Culinary Federation – Team USA will be on hand again this year to showcase their exquisite creations. Items up for both live and silent auction will be hand-selected to encourage your involvement and support of your industry through The Club Foundation. Tickets purchased as part of your conference registration are $120 per person. Be sure to register early on your Conference Registration Form. CMAA Career Services Center Job Boards: The CMAA Career Services Center will provide job boards listing available management positions. All position levels will be posted – from general manager/COO to internships. Managers, club boards, search committees and search firms may submit listings to be posted immediately and free of charge for all conference attendees to view. This service allows managers and students who are looking for club management opportunities to leave their résumés for a club representative or search firm. Bring plenty of copies of your résumé to Orlando and visit the CMAA Career Services Center! Résumé Critiques: Conference attendees may submit résumés at the Career Services Center for review by an unbiased eye. After the conference, your résumé will be returned with suggestions about how to revise and improve this primary job search tool. Mock Video Interviewing: Industry professionals will interview conference attendees on video and interviewees can take the DVD home after the conference to review their skills and improve their tactics. CM A A members and student members can schedule time slots and mock interview appointments before and during the conference on a first-come, first-served basis. Coaching Sessions: Professional coach and former club manager Kevin MacDonald will be on hand to provide one-on-one coaching sessions. Look for ©Dreamstime.com Student Activities Educational programs and special events for CMA A student member attendees begin on Thursday, January 31, with a networking event. The Student Achievement Breakfast, sponsored by Club Car, a CMAA Gold Advantage Partner, followed by the orientation session, gets things rolling Friday morning. A student education session and the Career Opportunity Showcase also will be held on Friday. The showcase provides a venue for students and managers to meet and interview for postgraduate and internship positions. Student education sessions continue on Saturday morning. Student chapter officers and faculty advisors are invited to attend a “brown-bag” lunch and join CMAA staff members for an informal session designed to discuss chapter trends and ideas. ❚❘ The Club Foundation Run with the President Please join CMA A President Linda Carroll, CCM, on a 5K “run for fun” (or just “walk and talk”) on Friday, February 1, at 6:30 a.m. sharp! Enjoy the company of your friends and colleagues, and invite your family members to take part as well. Participants will receive a “CF Run with the President” t-shirt, and refreshments will be served at the start/fi nish line. The registration fee is $30 per person, which benefits Special Olympics and The Club Foundation. The Club Foundation Benefit Drawing The Club Foundation once again will be holding a benefit drawing to raise funds for its Scholarship and Grant Program.
