After a group photo and warm-up, the 150 runners and walkers set off, with two interns setting a cracking pace. Nigel Cartwright held onto third place until the last 300 meters and fi nally fi nished fi fth (the highest-ranked European), while Paul Miller came in at a very credible 15th place. BMI International 2009 CMAA Chief Executive Officer Jim Singerling used his address at the World Conference to announce the BMI International 2009 conference will be staged in Stockholm, Sweden, from October 15-20. BMI International 2009 is a joint venture between the CMAA and the CMAE. For the Swedish event, the CMAE has invited its affiliate partner in Sweden (Swedish Golf Management Association) to help organize the event and provide local support. The CMAE would like to thank the Swedes for their help planning this event so far, and we look forward to working with them in the months ahead. BMI International 2008 Jim Singerling announced that places are limited for CMAA and CMAE members at the London conference, October 16-21. Officials on both sides of the Atlantic are finalizing the final details of the program. The brochure will be distributed to CMAA and CMAE members in a few weeks.
