p r e s i d e n t ’s m e s s a g e Thank you! Too often we get busy with our lives and don’t take the time to sit back and appreciate those around us. I’d like to take this moment to really thank the individuals who make MPINCC a “community.” From our executive director, to our board, to committee chairs/co-chairs and committee members, it takes A LOT of people and A LOT of work to deliver all the education, networking and membership engagement opportunities that take place each program year. In just the first six months of this 2009/2010 program year, this “community” has delivered to the membership: • Eight education programs • A golf tournament • Four issues of Perspective – the leading chapter magazine • Two holiday receptions in two different locations in the Bay Area • The launch of CMP University • Several student sessions/workshops • A January networking event • One of the largest conferences and expos our industry sees each year (see photo spread on pages 16-17) • And not to mention board meetings, committee meetings, and planning meetings. To all of those in this “community,” I want to say a BIG thank you – keep up the good work! To finish the year off, I invite you to participate in an upcoming event or consider joining a committee for the 2010/2011 year. New committees are just now forming and the next program year starts on July 1, 2010. Contact the office at for information on how to get involved.
