He became executive director of California CPA Education Foundation in 1993 after having served CalCPA from 1980 as director of conferences and then head of its member relations operations. He was interim CEO of both CalCPA and the Education Foundation in 2000 and again in 2004. He served as the Education Foundation’s executive director until 2006. In 2007, John received CalCPA’s Distinguished Service Award, which is presented to an individual who has provided long and distinguished service to the accounting profession, to CalCPA or to the community. He was born on Dec. 6, 1940 in Scranton, Penn. ● Have news to share? The Leadership Level is the highest level of program participation. Vintners Inn is one of only 100 or so hotels throughout the state of California to have been honored with this award, and only one of three hotels in Santa Rosa. “I am so proud of our team here at Vintners Inn,” said general manager Percy Brandon. “We could not have accomplished this coveted certification without the help and cooperation of many of our employees.
