On the tour, NAPA leaders looked at various technologies that were being developed in France, Germany, and Norway. A seminar on the topic at NAPA’s 2003 Annual Convention TOP LEFT and TOP MIDDLE: The paving crew laid about 9,000 tons of the warm-mix produced by Advera WMA along the road that led from the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Crews also used 9,000 tons of Sasobit and used 9,000 tons to construct a control section using traditional HMA. TOP RIGHT: At the Nashville demo, odor and blue smoke were noticeably absent at the truck loadout. The demo showcased Astec Double Barrel Green System as well as Advera WMA, Sasobit, and Evotherm DAT. BOTTOM RIGHT: The APWA demonstration drew an interested crowd of some 250 to see warm-mix produced by Evotherm DAT.
