TOOLS FOR THE TRADE Kasi Offers Trailer-Mounted Infrared Pavement Restoration System With the ProHeat 2000 infrared system from Kasi, pavement restoration jobs that took a ﬁve to six man crew one to two days to accomplish can now be performed by a twoman crew in about 20 minutes. The infrared technology also allows more effective asphalt repairs, blending in the new asphalt with the original by heating an area six to eight inches beyond the cut. The new asphalt is seamless with the old and no sinking occurs. The ProHeat 2000 is a trailer mounted system with heavy-duty axles, stainless steel construction and a reliable electrical system. It includes a two or four-ton capacity asphalt reclaimer, a 48-square-foot UltraGlo infrared pavement heater, and 30 cubic feet of storage area. It runs on a 12-volt battery for longer motor life. The convenient ﬁvetank system assures maximum operating time. In addition, a hydraulic compactor lift is now an option.
