The 2009 Annual Conference is knocking on our door and we are excited about what this year has to offer. This year’s Annual Conference will be held March 2-6, 2009 at the Dixie Center in St. George, Utah. We are excited about our line-up for this year and plan on having our best week ever in St. George! Operator Certification We have a new and improved Operator Certification option to help you do your best on passing the State Exam. Water and Wastewater Operator Certification classes will begin slightly earlier than normal to allow for enough time at this conference to give you all the training you need AND enjoy the Conference at the same time. Both water and wastewater operator certification classes will begin on Monday, March 2nd at 1:00 pm and run through Thursday, March 5th. The Operator Certification test will be held on Friday, March 6th. You will need to register to take the certification classes on your registration form AND contact either Diana Waite at the Rural Water Office (801-756-5123) by February 13th for Water, or Judy Etherington at the Division of Water Quality (801-538-6062 by February 5th for wastewater to register for the exam. In-Depth Training Tuesday’s In-Depth Training will offer a wide variety of topics to help you take a deeper look at some important topics—not to mention earn much needed CEUs! Come join us on Tuesday as we offer classes on comprehensive water audits, chemical feed pumps, collection systems, water rights, funding, and power quality and surge protection…to name a few. Golf Scramble This year’s golf scramble is shaping up to be one of the best in the state once again! Come enjoy beautiful weather (we hope!) while you golf on one of the best courses in the State—the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George.
