After the Awards Presentation, we enjoyed some great entertainment provided by Eric Dodge, one of Utah’s up-andcoming country artists, and a repeat Rural Water entertainer. Voting Membership Meeting Thursday’s Voting Membership meeting took on a sentimental feel and made our members appreciate the capabilities of the upcoming generation in more ways than one. After the Rural Water Voting Members received an update on the affairs of the Association, complete with a fi nancial report, committee reports, and the conducting of the Water Taste Test, it came time to deliver the scholarships. Two scholarships were awarded this year to two very deserving children of employees of member systems. The first was given to a very deserving young man—Jake Mellor of Fayette, Utah. Jake was not present to receive the scholarship as he is currently serving a tour of duty in Iraq, but has plans to return home, get married and begin his college education within the next few months. The next scholarship was awarded to Whitney Lee of Monroe, Utah.
