Rural Water - Quarter 3, 2008 - (Page 42) to ensure critical water safety. Haynes says that’s where Hydra-Stop is concentrating its efforts. “We’re developing products that can maintain the system without system disruption from shutting it down,” Haynes says. He explains that anytime a system is shut down, everything from fi re protection to business is disrupted, with possible catastrophic effects. Due to pending patents, Haynes will not disclose specifics about new products to be released by the company, but he did offer some general insights about gate valves that can be repaired without being shut down and the live insertion of check valves. “The products are revolutionary in connection with the mandated EPA regulations,” Haynes says. “The products we’re building are installed live, with no interruption to service.” He says that if repairs are necessary “in 50 years, they won’t have to shut the line down then, either. That’s never been done before.” Haynes declined to say when the new products will be released but rest assured, they’ll make a splash. The Ford Meter Box Company has built a reputation for innovation, and they continue that tradition with several new products that will make installation and maintenance easier for rural water utilities and contractors. 42 • Third Quarter 2008 364310_sepro.indd 1 4/16/08 10:51:17 PM http://www.sepro.com
