As the first forum and exposition fully dedicated to everything aggregates, this show has come together to fulfill the cost effective vision we had at its inception. There truly will be something at AGG1 to benefit anyone and everyone in our industry, from operators to engineers to executive managers. In a nutshell, here are some of the highlights you should know before you arrive in Orlando in March: Travel Information Ten off icial show hotels a re located along International Drive and just west of the exposition, near Sea World. All official hotels will have complimentary shuttle service on show days, with the exception of the Rosen Centre and Peabody Orlando, which are within easy walking distance of the Convention Center. In addition, an I-Ride trolley service is available along International Drive for a small fee. Attendees and exhibitors must first register for AGG1 or the NSSGA Annual Convention to reserve rooms in the official show hotels. Orange County Convention Center The Orange County Convention Center, on International Drive in Orlando, has two main concourses — North/South and West. AGG1 and its co-located show, World of Asphalt, will be in the South Concourse, located on the north side of International Drive and south of Universal Blvd. In addition to NSSGA, OSHA and MSHA booths near the doors, as you enter the Exhibition Hall you’ll notice that aggregates equipment and services exhibitors will occupy one side of the hall, while exhibitors of asphalt equipment and related services will occupy the other side. Crossover and complementary equipment, technology and services for both industries will occupy the middle of the hall. While AGG1 certainly will feature exhibits with the latest equipment, some exhibitors will emphasize new technology and others who will feature demonstrations, providing a more valuable experience for attendees. 15 Stone, Sand & Gravel Review, January/February 2009
