pects of incentive travel. Norma has received many prominent awards, such as SITE Incentive Personality of the Year and Williams Hospitality Eagle Award. Norma is the sort of rare individual we might get to meet once every few years — if the timing is right. If the stars are aligned perfectly, we might even have the opportunity to spend a little time speaking with her. Lynn University in Boca Raton, where I received a bachelor of science in hospitality administration, summa cum laude. What is your long-term goal in life? To own a large chateau to run as a hotel while producing my own wines. This is more of a pipe dream than a goal, but you never know — I may win the lottery! Name a quote that best describes your outlook on life. Professionally: “Work smart not hard.” Personally: “When wine enlivens the heart, may friends surround the table.” What is something interesting about you that people would ﬁnd fascinating? I’m a huge wine-lover, visiting different wine regions (Napa and Sonoma in the United States; Bordeaux, Graves, Beaune, Alsace/Lorraine in France; and Stellenbosch, Parrl & Fredricksberg in South Africa) around the world, and I have collected more than 600 wines. What about your family? At home it’s me, my purrfect angel cat, Matisse, and two wonderful dogs, Scout and Buddy. I’m blessed with my maternal grandmother, who will be turning 95, and my brother, who lives in Orlando. ■ The South Florida chapter would like to thank Dahlton Bennington for giving her time to teach the CMP preparation class to all of our future CMPs. She is a dedicated member of MPI and has been a huge part of the chapter’s success. Dahlton is a CMP and a CMM and is the senior manager of business meeting services at Spherion in Fort Lauderdale. But what is Dahlton really like? We sat down for a short interview with her. Where you are originally from? Surprisingly, I’m a Florida native, born in Gainesville, and have lived in Florida most of my life. I grew up on the beach in Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Sarasota.
