The San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento Chapters hosted the Fourth Annual Joint Education Conference and Trade Show on February 15 with more than 50 exhibits and 115 registrants. SGMP Executive Director and CEO Charles Sadler attended the meet and also gave a presentation – a win-win for our chapter.
The Georgia Peach chapter hosted a monthly educational program on improving planner-supplier relationships through effective communication. Members Pammie Jimmar and Ruth Harris led roundtables on the importance of mutual respect, compromise, accountability and professional growth.
KANSAS CITY, MO
The Heart of America chapter hosted its Annual Education Conference on Tuesday, March 20, at the Marriott Country Club Plaza. This all-day educational experience covered topics from green meetings to disaster preparedness to protocol and etiquette training. It was a great day of training and networking.
The National Capital chapter, with the help of Hyatt, Detroit CVB, Fort Worth TX CVB, Destination DC, Las Vegas CVB, Hilton Chicago, Hilton Washington and Hilton Waikaloa, hosted the 2nd networking event at Lucky Strikes. It was a huge success, with 60 percent planners in attendance and great networking and connection opportunities for our sponsors. G
JEFFERSON CITY, MO
Missouri Capital chapter hosted its first Annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event on March 24. The event took place at Lincoln University and featured a silent auction and raffles throughout the evening. Chapter members and friends paid $25 per person to participate. All proceeds from the event went to the chapter’s educational programs and scholarships.
