SGMP NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2011-2013 PRESIDENT’S LETTER Looking Forward President Rob Coffman, CGMP U.S. Department of Treasury First Vice President Rhonda Wise, CGMP U.S. Department of Labor By Robert Coffman, CGMP National President Your National Board of Directors members took an oath to accept the responsibility of leadership and to promise to fulfill the duties of the offices to which you have elected us. I want to again express our deep appreciation for the messages of support we have received from our fellow SGMP members. The National Board of Directors’ summer meeting— like each summer’s mid-year chapter board meeting—is always one which merits additional time, calls for self-evaluation and requires strategic thinking. The latest national board meeting was certainly no different. Though not an election year, your SGMP national leadership team certainly experienced transition this summer. We are still involved in transition and planning. But we are looking forward. Our SGMP Member Bill of Rights provides that members have the right to respect, the right to be heard, and the right to leaders who put the Society first. This summer, each member of the national leadership team has learned quite a bit about themselves and about each other. I stand today looking forward, as proud as ever about our support of every one of our members and of every item in your bill of rights.
