The Greater Oregon chapter hosted its first CGMP class with 14 students from three states. Participants spent three days learning about effective RFPs, negotiation strategies and federal budget processes. Congratulations to all for a great class!
NEW ORLEANS, LA
Chapter presidents and 2 nd vice presidents met in New Orleans for a weekend of learning about how to better improve chapter operations and education. They tasted beignets and worked on chapter business plans while meeting with SGMP national board members, trustees of the Gilmer Institute of Learning and headquarters staff.
DENVER, CO DAYTONA BEACH, FL
The Central Florida and Florida Capital chapters co-hosted the Southeast Regional Education Conference for their peers and friends from the Tennessee, Rocket City Alabama and Georgia Peach chapters. Speakers addressed the topics of green meetings, effective marketing and successful business relationships. G
The Rocky Mountain chapter gave their new planner members a day of boot camp style learning about organizing government meetings. Members learned about site selection, cost savings and innovative menu options.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
The Wild West Oklahoma chapter celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a gala at the Renaissance Hotel Oklahoma City Convention Center and Spa. The chapter used the occasion to thank founding members and past presidents for 10 years of success. Chapter members look forward to many more years of growth and memories.
