SGMP hosted its first-ever CGMP Congress on November 14-16. The opening reception was held at the National Archives and the education events were held at the Westin Washington, D.C City Center. NATCAP partnered with SGMP for the opening reception.

On October 1st, Crossroads of America launched the Government Meeting Specialist (GMS) certificate program. The Arizona chapter hosted a successful silent auction on November 7 at the Embassy Suites Phoenix. There were 60 fantastic donations and the event raised enough money to send two planners to the National Education Conference & Expo. Guest speakers Andrea Gold and Gary Yamamoto delivered a stimulating presentation and video on “Tales of the Script: Speaker Tricks, Traps and Tumbles.”
