We know you’ve heard the buzz about the TSAE Young Professionals Group. And you’ve thought about coming out to one of our events, but talked yourself out of it because you didn’t know anyone. Or maybe you’ve thought about volunteering but don’t want a huge time commitment. And you’re thinking, so what’s in it for me? The answer is: your future. The TSAE Young Professionals Group is educating, cultivating and developing tomorrow’s association industry leaders today. Who are we? We are TSAE members who are “young” and/or new to the association industry. TSAE YP does not set age limits for its members. Members range from 25 to 40-plus, though the median age of the group is 31. What can we offer you? We have developed educational programming geared towards your unique needs. We have targeted educational seminars to help you advance in your association career, technical training to keep you up to date on the latest technology trends in the association world and fun networking events where you can meet up with your industry peers. Why should I join? Isn’t it obvious yet? Join TSAE YPs to improve your career, develop your leadership abilities and build relationships within the association industry. How do I get involved? Attend a meeting. It’s a great way to meet new people. Join a sucommittee. You’ll get to work with your peers on an informal basis on activities and events together. We have four subcommittees: Career Advancement, Mentoring, Technology & Communications, and Social Events & Networking. Get involved now. Make a connection. Invest in your future. I’m interested. When and where do you meet? Check out the TSAE Web site (www.tsae.org) for up-to-date information on the January/February 2008 | Association LEADERSHIP meeting schedule and event times and locations.
