Before joining TRA, Mary was with the Texas Municipal League. Don McCullough, who retired after 40 years in the association business. He recently sold his business, Association & Society Management Inc., to his younger brother, Joe. Don is a longtime member of TSAE, having joined in 1965. Loretta Howard, who has joined the staff of the DFW Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle as association sales manager. Before joining this hotel, Loretta was with the Dallas Marriott Las Colinas. Phil Elam, who recently joined Aßac as an association consultant. He was TSAEÕs 2000 ÒAfÞliate Member of the YearÓ and has more than 12 years of Þnancial services experience with associations. Aßac and Elam are in the process of developing a program for trade associations and professional societies. John Pike, CAE, who has been named executive director of the Texas Department of Public Safety OfÞcers Association. Before joining the DPS OfÞcers Association, John was executive director of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society. He started his new position March 17. Sonnia Montemayor, who has been named director of education for the Texas Society of Association Executives. Sonnia has been with TSAE for three years. Prior to her promotion, she served as the meetings and membership coordinator for TSAE.
