She plans to spend time with family, volunteer in the community and be open to new possibilities – including improving her golf score. Mary Partridge, of Impact Consulting, who was named chair-elect of the National Board of the American Lung Association. Chuck Courtney, CAE, who’s taken over as associate director for administration, government affairs, with the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation at the University of Texas. Bruce Wolpert, CMP, who was appointed to the sales and marketing team at the 176-room NYLO Hotel in Plano. Bruce will be working with Elaine Gamer, DOSM, to assist with local corporate housing needs and group business. Richie Jackson, executive vice president/CEO of the Texas Restaurant Association, who received the association’s highest award in recognition for outstanding contributions to the industry and the association. He was inducted into the TRA Hall of Honor on June 23 in Houston. Christi Stinson, CPA, CAE, who was named executive director of the Funding Information Center. Christi brings more than 20 years of successful association management to her new position. Hale recently marked his 20th anniversary as HAR’s president and CEO. In 2006, REALTOR® magazine named him one of the “25 Most Influential Thought Leaders in the U.S. real estate industry.” The Inman Innovator Awards honor forwardthinking technologies, Web services, business models and innovators in online real estate, brokerage and media companies. They are considered among the most prestigious and coveted honors in real estate. The Texas Association of Staffing, which was honored at Staffing World, the annual convention and expo of the American Staffing Association, in San Antonio. Kate Thornberry Hill, CAE, executive director of TAS, received a superior merit award for outstanding programs and chapter efforts in 20072008. The Texas chapter also received a superior merit award for its outstanding legislative efforts, marking the first time a chapter won first place in both categories.
