Some regional directors have performed this essential function more successfully than others. The Valley Region has met four times per year for three years. Central, North, Northeast, Southeast and South have been meeting twice per year. The West Region has not met at all recently. The regional meetings serve the important function of bringing TFCA members together face-toface to meet each other, to discuss the TFCA legislative agenda, to hear about new educational initiatives and member services and to elect the regional director. In 2007, about one-third of the TFCA membership attended regional meetings. The TFCA Constitution & Bylaws provides for the Executive Board to appoint a regional director to serve out the unexpired term of a director who leaves the position before the biennial election cycle. Some regional directors have retired, some have moved out the region, and others have moved into TFCA officer positions. Serving as a regional director is an excellent leadership development opportunity. The following are the seven regional directors as of the beginning of 2008: CENTRAL REGION DIRECTOR Chief Chris Connealy Cedar Park Fire Department 911 Quest Parkway Cedar Park, Texas 78613 Phone: 512-260-5470 Fax: 512-260-2464 E-mail: connealy@cedarparktx.us NORTH REGION DIRECTOR Chief Steve Pollock Cedar Hill Fire Department P.O.
