The role of the Texas Fire Service instructor includes many responsibilities and challenges. It is the belief of the Texas Association of Fire Educators that many individuals in this field are making a positive impact on the safety of their communities, as well as reaching out to others around the State of Texas and beyond. Training is the backbone of the fi re service. It is vital for initial entry education, skill enhancement, continuing education, fi re operational safety, and implementation f new concepts and techniques. TAFE’s primary purpose is to promote education in the state of Texas and to provide resources and tools for ongoing training in the fi re service industry. Members of the Texas Association of Fire Educators are individuals who are in, or interested in, training in the fi re service. Membership in TAFE is attained through a registration form or by nomination of an active member.
