Streamline - Summer 2011 - (Page 34)
VRWA’S 23rd ANNUAL Conference just keeps getting bigger and better! We found ourselves back at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center this year. Both the exhibit hall and the schedule were jam-packed with a little bit of something for everyone. Our attendees were able to take part in more than 28 different training opportunities and events. We had water and wastewater tours, golf and clay shoot tournaments, our annual business meeting with awards presentations, 11th Annual Water Taste Contest and casino night. Despite the slow economy, the VRWA exhibit hall overflowed with more than 100 exhibitor booths for attendees to learn about new products and the latest technology in our field. The VRWA staff and board of directors would like to thank all the attendees, speakers and exhibitors who came to beautiful Roanoke for our 23rd Annual Conference from April 3-6, 2011. Our 24th Annual Conference will be April 1-4, 2012.
11th Annual Water Taste Contest
This year’s winner was Three Springs Water Treatment Plant in Rockingham County. Three Springs won the contest previously in 2007 and came in second in 2010.
Pictured, left to right, is VRWA Executive Director Myrica Keiser and Luke Hornick and Tim Harris Jr., both with Three Springs WTP.
