Western Independent Banker - May/June 2008 - (Page 10) WIB Announces New Board Slates for 2008-09 DURING THE ANNUAL Conference for Bank Presidents, Senior Officers & Directors in Hawaii in March, the association installed its Executive Committee and Boards of Directors for the 2008-09 year. Nancy E. Sheppard, WIB president & CEO, completes the Executive Committee. The new WIB Chairman is Matt C. Packard. He is president, CEO & chairman of Central Bank in Provo, Utah. He is a fifth-generation banker who began employment at family-owned Central Bank in 1976 and has worked his way up through the management ranks. The new WIB Chairman-elect is David Taber, president, CEO and director of American River Bankshares in Rancho Cordova, Calif., parent company of American River Bank, North Coast Bank and Bank of Amador. He joined the company in 1985 as CFO, and became COO and board member in 1989. In 1995, Taber was named CEO of the newly formed holding company. Park Price is the new WIB Secretary/Treasurer. He is president of Bank of Idaho in Idaho Falls, a position he has held since 2003. Previously, he was president & CEO of Park Price Motor Company from 1979-2003 and spent 13 years in the Motors Holding Division of General Motors Corp. Michael J. Perdue, president of Pacific Western Bank in San Diego, will finish his term on the WIB Executive Committee as WIB Immediate Past Chairman. Previously, he was president & CEO of Community Bancorp, Inc. and Community National Bank in Escondido, Calif. Prior to joining Community Bancorp in July 2003, he was an executive vice president with Entrepreneurial Corporate Group in Newport Beach, Calif.
