DAYS 2-3: MAUI
“The excursions were out of this world. We did the Road to Hana in Maui (not to be missed!); the volcano on the Big Island, which was breathtaking; and the Waimea Canyon and ziplining in Kaua `i. This trip was the trip of a lifetime, and I recommend it to everyone of any age.“ Mrsdp on ncl.com/freestylevoices
TWO DAYS TO MARVEL.
Seeing is believing. And what you’ll see will be quite remarkable. Grab a snorkel and explore crescentshaped Molokini islet, one of the best snorkeling sites in the world and home to over 250 species of tropical fish. Along the way to the quaint town of Hana, sit back and enjoy the “scenic route” of lava cliffs, flowing waterfalls and glistening pools as your native driver takes you through the winding roads of famed Hana Highway. An early-morning hike 10,000 feet above sea level to the summit of dormant Haleakala offers magnificent sunrises. During the winter months, just off the coast of Lahaina is where you might see humpback whales playfully breaching the warm waters of the Pacific after migrating 3,000 miles from their feeding grounds in Alaska. Too much to experience in one day? Good thing you’re here for two.
Best Things: • Drive up the mountain on Maui • Take some back roads. You really experience the islands. • Try Shave Ice on any Island • Snorkel on Kona or Oahu • Visit the North Shore on Oahu • See all shows the ship offers • Visit the Art Gallery.
