Operators are facing a host of issues ranging from declining traffic counts to skyrocketing cheese prices. Still, some operators managed to thrive. We at Pizza Marketplace track hundreds of pizza chains around the globe, and a select few stood out from the pack. Of those, we selected one company as the 2007 Pizza Marketplace Chain of the Year: California Pizza Kitchen. Pizza Marketplace based its selection on a number of criteria: comparablestore sales growth, new product development, corporate culture and creative marketing and advertising initiatives.
