The agreement transfers a team of sales professionals and exclusive UK and Irish distribution rights for JBL Professional, Crown, Soundcraft, AKG, dbx, BSS Audio, and Lexicon products. Stated Harman Professional Chief Executive O fficer Blake Augsburger: “Sound Technology is a premier pro audio distribution business in the UK and Ireland with strong market knowledge and a commitment to selling systems across Harman’s served vertical markets. This direct-to-third-party shift provides Harman [with] the entrepreneurial drive necessar y to support its international go-to-market strategy.” For its part in the proceedings, Sound Technology ’s Chairman, Robert Wilson, commented, “We are thrilled to be representing the legendary professional brands of Harman International. Innovason’s Sales & Marketing Director, Xavier Pion, views this development as being a perfect fit for both companies, stating, “It’s no secret that we had been looking for a development partner for quite some time. We explored a number of possibilities, but none seemed to be quite the match we were looking for until Philipp Lawo expressed an interest. As a leading manufacturer of high-end digital broadcast consoles, Lawo’s expertise in the digital domain is beyond question.
